Having grown up playing sports and studying Sports and Exercise Science at Loughborough University, I’d never considered a career outside of the sporting industry. During my degree I chose to embark on a placement year as a strength and conditioning coach, specialising in injury rehabilitation, and through this quickly developed skills that I realised could be utilised across other industries. I graduated in 2017 and focused my career search towards London, which is where I discovered recruitment. The industry immediately appealed to me due to its dynamic culture, where a strong work ethic resulted in high rewards. Having played competitive hockey since a young age, recruitment resonated with me as I thrive best in a team focused environment where you can utilise having a competitive attitude and work towards established goals.

I started my career as a recruitment consultant specialising in fintech and investment banking but soon joined G&E Group in 2018 as an Operations and Resourcing Manager. With the support and growth of the business, I’ve developed my career through Operations, Internal Recruitment and HR. In 2021, G&E Group afforded me the opportunity to complete a master’s degree in HR Management at Westminster University and through this, I am now Head of HR and Internal Recruitment for the group.
